The Game Boy was the first portable console to conquer the world, and today you can use it with a wide range of classic titles. And now even in the world of Virtual Reality. Reddit user nicknamed CidVonHighwind has ported Gearboy, a Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulator, to the new Oculus Go VR headset.

The app projects a giant virtual screen in a darkened environment where you can play classics such as Pokemon Blue (or Red if you want to catch all), Super Mario Land 2, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and more.

To use the emulator in a virtual environment, you still need a physical gamepad to connect to the VR Headset. You can download the emulator from GitHub, then use these instructions to learn how to run it for your Oculus Go.

And even more exciting is that is working on a SNES emulator for Virtual Reality. Super Metroid in VR really sounds cool. Post from: GizBrain. Source: VentureBeat
