Nvidia announced that stopping the release of Game Ready drivers for its Fermi graphics cards. This means that from now on, you will only be able to get this support if your graphics accelerator is based on the Kepler, Maxwell, and Pascal series.

The news is disappointing for those gamers who continue to rely on Fermi cards as Nvidia drivers are specially optimized for the latest games that come out. As such, they deliver performance improvements, fix bugs, and add new features.

Nvidia’s optional GeForce Experience software is also dropping 32-bit operating system support. It won’t be getting continued security updates, but “existing features and services such as optimal game settings will continue to work on Windows 32-bit operating systems,” Nvidia says.

Although Nvidia stops Game Ready Drivers for Fermi-based cars, these GPUs will continue to receive security patches by January 2019. Below you can see a full list of cards which maintenance will end, and if your model is among them, maybe it’s time to check the current Nvidia catalog for something new. Post from: GizBrain
