Mozilla released the new version of Firefox under the number 59, which comes for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. The company has defined the update as the most significant upgrade for Firefox for a long time. Version 59 brings faster page load, better privacy browsing mode and Android Assist.

Faster page loading is possible because the pages are extracted from the cache on the hard drive or on the server. You can now make a more flexible selection of screenshots and draw on them.

To keep your privacy, Firefox further restricts the information sent to third parties when browsing. So personal data, browsing history and work preferences or online shopping will be a bit more secure.

“Added new settings in about:preferences that allow you to stop intrusive websites from asking you to receive notifications or access advanced device features such as camera and geolocation, while still allowing websites you trust to use these features,” said Mozilla in the preliminary release notes for Firefox 59.

Finally, the Android version of the browser brings Firefox integration with Android Assist. When you press and hold the Home button on your device, Firefox’s search engine will be launched instead of Google Assistant. The next Firefox 60 version is scheduled for early June. Post from: GizBrain
