Gaming smartphones are a niche market but, one where the things defiantly are becoming more and more interesting. First, was Razer with its Razer Phone, and now it seems that Xiaomi also has its own opinion on the issue.

New data from the popular AnTuTu benchmark show that the company’s mysterious device with codename Black Shark has achieved the outstanding result of 270,680 points, which is 100,000 more than what Razer Phone achive.

Moreover, this is even one of the highest scores on the benchmark at all and surpasses the Galaxy S9 by several thousand. Black Shark seems to be a gaming model with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and Adreno 630 video accelerator, 8 GB RAM, 32 GB built-in storage and up-to-date Android 8.0 Oreo as an operating system.

This configuration all together has everything you need to play the most demanding mobile games. In addition, the phone has a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and a 18:9 aspect ratio, which suggests a very modern design.

And in order to avoid any doubt, Xiaomi recently registered a subsidiary company called Black Shark, which specializes in mobile gaming. So the phone with the same name is probably a prototype demonstrating the power of a mobile device created for that purpose. Post from: GizBrain. Source: NDTV
