Integral Memory has present a microSD card with a record memory capacity. The champion has so far been the SanDisk’s 400 GB card, but now the first place is taken by the new product of Integral. The tiny card has a capacity of 512 GB.

However, It is not so fast, reaching 80 MB/s, lagging behind the SanDisk model, which reaches 100 MB/s. The new 512GB microSD card is also classified as SDXC UHS-I U1. This means that there is a minimum writing speed of 10 MB/s.

It also supports the V10 standard for video transfer rates, so it’s designed to capture full HD video off cameras. No price yet announced, but it is certainly not expected to be low. The 400GB SanDisk card sold for a healthy $249.99, so this one is sure to be even more expensive.

512GB is likely to be way more than the average individual needs, seeing as 64GB is often the standard for high-end casual users and is capable of holding hundreds to thousands of high-quality photos. However, more and more users use 4k video quality so this card can be very useful. We will see the new microSD card in the market in February. Post from: GizBrain. Source: The Verge
