Almost a year after its release, Nintendo Switch continues to enjoy its “honeymoon,” and this is clear from the gaming hardware sales data in December 2017. Nintendo’s console has sold more units for the last month than its competitors, Xbox One and PS4.

Technically speaking, the Wii U is the competitor of Xbox One and PS4 as these are the eighth generation systems. The Nintendo Switch is the first generation of the ninth generation, but given that the Japanese company has to make a change in motion, the current hybrid system is the real contender of home consoles for the gamers attention and wallet.

The lack of many new titles for Nintendo Switch does not seem to diminish the interest in it. The system has become the fastest-selling console in US history and has already outperformed Wii U on sales in its native Japan. This spring we will see two more Wii U games for Switch in the face of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Post from: GizBrain
