Google Assistant is already on 400 million devices, including more than 6 million smart home speakers, sold since the Home Mini was released last October. According to the giant, the use of Google Home during this Christmas season has increased 9 times compared to the previous one, as users used more smart devices, asked more questions, listened to more music, and tried more than they could do with Google Assistant.

“Both the Google Assistant and Google Home had a very big year in 2017, with new devices, new languages and new features. The Assistant is now available on more than 400 million devices, including speakers like Google Home, Android phones and tablets, iPhones, headphones, TVs, watches and more. We brought the Google Assistant to a dozen countries, from France to Japan, offering help in 8 languages around the globe.”

Every second is sold at least one Google Nome device since the affordable Home Mini came into the market. The speaker competes with Amazon’s Echo Dot, and apart from it, Google Assistant also finds place in smart gadgets made by Sony and JBL. The Pixel 2 phones and the Pixel Buds headphones also use the assistant.

Google Assistant currently supports eight languages, as well as various forms of English spoken in countries such as Australia and India. Post from: GizBrain
