The premiere of the Galaxy S9 is approaching, and today’s news revolves around one of the main features of the upcoming flagship, the fingerprint scanner.

Samsung seems to be able to move the the fingerprint scanner of the new Galaxy S9, with the likely new location under the camera lens.

This is definitely a better solution than having to reach the lens of the camera to use the scanner, as is the case with the company’s flagship this year.

Samsung Galaxy S9 likely to debut in January

The scanner from this image looks exactly where it should be – in the middle of the back.

Additionally, the Galaxy S9 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset or an Exynos 9810 chipset, depending on the region. The Exynos system-on-a-chip, is predicted to have a new neural processor which will improve its artificial intelligence, while the S9’s camera is rumored to support 1,000 fps slow motion.
