Essential Phone by Andy Rubin is not selling well
It looks like the Andy Rubin Essential PH-1 phone is not very successful. The Android Authority reported that only 5,000 units had been sold since the launch in May. In fact, its stocks were available two months later, but the results were disappointing.
“5,000 figure mentioned below only covers Sprint sales, and not sales of unlocked units. That said, if the 5,000 units on Sprint estimate is accurate, the unlocked sales are probably not much better either.”
Essentially, the Essential phone is made pretty well with materials such as ceramics and titanium. But it lacks unique features, and on top of everything, the camera is let me find the right word “disappointing”. Fortunately, Essential continues to work on software updates for the camera to make it better.

The software of the Essential phone offers nearly stock Android, which is good news for fans of the pure Android experience. Despite the difficult start of Essential, the company is valued at more than one billion dollars and has an extremely influential leader in the face of Andy Rubin.
The question now is whether investors will stay with Essential after the weak smartphone performance.
