Software developers continue to crack Apple HomePod’s beta firmware and, in addition to some iPhone data, they have discovered that the next version of iOS will include something called “SmartCAM.”

“When asked by another user whether or not the iPhone camera was already adjusting to different scenes on the fly, Rambo said that “it does some of it in burst mode, but this “SmartCam” feature is only present in the HomePod firmware (iOS 11.0.2).”

This is a new feature in iOS 11 – the question is whether or not it will be a major talking point for Apple or just something in the background.”

This reminds us of the automatic point-and-shoot camera mode that lets you take perfect pictures in any setting as the camera itself adjusts for best performance. This can make the camera of future iPhone models a bit more useful.
