The cars from the Russian project “Cortege” will be еquipped with a relatively wide range of engine, which will include four-cylinder engines and V8. The top engine will be 12-cylinder V-shaped.

The names of the cars will most likely be Aurum and Russia, they will be equipped with three types of engines, all three of which will be petrol engine.

The smallest – four-cylinder will be 250 hp and will be used for the minivans from the Cortege project. The V8 will have 650 hp and will power the SUV, the V12 top engine will be designed for the President Putin’s limousine.

It will have a power of 850 hp and torque of 1,470 Nm, which will be electronically limited to 1,000 Nm. The small four-cylinder engine and the big V12 will be entirely Russian.

The V8, however, was developed jointly with Porsche Engineering specialists. The both V-engines, will have a 9-speed automatic transmission, and the four-cylinder gearbox will most likely be manual.

The new information says that by the end of the year, the Federal Guard Service will receive over to 14 Cortege vehicles. Their mass production will begin in 2018.
