This week Sega has released several of his retro games from the 90s in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

This is the new initiative that aims to give gamers of the old school the opportunity to touch again those favorite titles with which they started their gaming years.

The first games that are already available on Android and iOS devices are Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone and Kid Chameleon.

While the games are free, users can pay $1.99 to remove ads. One particularly good thing is that all games come with Bluetooth wireless controller support, which will make it easier for players to recreate their retro console.

“As the Sega Forever collection expands through months and years,” the company explains, “it will include both official emulations and ported games that pan all Sega console eras, each adapted specifically for mobile devices while remaining faithful to the original games.”

The developer says that following the launch of the first five games, additional titles will be added to the collection every two weeks.
