Bethesda confirmed that the games Fallout 4 and the last year’s Shooter Doom will receive support for virtual reality. Both versions were shown during the E3 2017 publisher’s presentation.

Doom VFR (we’re going to assume that “F” stands for “Friendly”) was showcased at last year’s E3 but it was widely rumoured that the game wouldn’t be released outside of the trade show. However, it now appears that Bethesda intends to turn the title into a fully-fledged VR experience.

While the Fallout 4 VR looks like a standard version of the game, in the Doom VFR you will be able to move freely between the levels.

Bethesda has announced that the Fallout 4 VR will be released in October for HTC Vive, while Doom VFR has no specific date yet.

If you flinched the first time you saw a meaty Mancubus charging at you in last year’s critically acclaimed DOOM, wait till you get up close and even more personal with rampaging demons in DOOM VFR. Revealed at Bethesda’s E3 2017 Showcase, DOOM VFR is a new virtual reality game from legendary developer id Software, coming to PlayStation VR and VIVE platforms. Source: Bethesda Softworks
