Google Pixel 2 ‘Taimen’ shows up on GeekBench running Android O
It seems that Google is working on a third variant of the Pixel 2 which has a code name ‘Taimen’. The web has revealed information about a device codenamed Taimen, which is the next addition to Google’s high-budget line.
The data comes from the popular benchmark GeekBench, which tells us that the Pixel 2 will have a Qualcomm 8-core processor with a clock speed of 1.90 GHz. This is the current Snapdragon 835 that powers the American version of the Galaxy S8 as well as other flagship devices from this year.
The memory will remain 4 GB RAM and the operating system is Android O – the next version of the mobile operating system is expected later this year. At GeekBench, Google Taimen performs more than well and outperforms the Galaxy S8 and Xperia XZ Premium.
The achievement is excellent, given that the phone is still in an early phase of development. Expectations of a large-diagonal screen come from the code name, which means species fish of the Trout family, which is often over 100 kilograms.
Naturally, we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt, however, if Google is working on a larger device than the Pixel XL, then will be very interesting to see what will come from this. Let us know what do you think about Pixel device that features a display larger than 5.5-inches?
