Apple to Start Making iPhones in India after May
Apple intends to start producing smartphones in India after about two months, said this week The Wall Street Journal. The production will be done by Wistron Corp, which reportedly will begin production of the iPhone 6 and 6S models over the next four to six weeks, and iPhone SE devices after about three months.
Neither Apple, nor Wistron Corp responded to a request for comment on this joint cooperation. Adding production plants in India could help reduce the price of Apple’s popular smartphone in India, where, according to WSJ, Apple has less than 5% share of the market. Post from: GizBrain
