On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs got on stage at Macworld in San Francisco, to change the world – literally! On this date, exactly 10 years ago, Steve Jobs introduced a revolutionary device called iPhone.

Jobs described the new device as: Phone, iPod and Internet communication device. Basically iPhone and today retains the same concept, but of course, today his camera is one of the best features.

At that time, the concept seemed too ambitious – a full computer in your pocket – but time has shown that the vision of Jobs was not only correct, but it literally changed the world. Today, smartphones are our main computers for everyday use.

They can do anything, even things that conventional computers can not. iPhone still remains the most important element of the product portfolio of Apple, and Tim Cook today said the following: “iPhone is an essential part of the lives of our customers, and today more than ever, he redefined the way we communicate, entertain, work and live.”

He also used the occasion to promise more from Apple in the future. “iPhone sets the standard for mobile computers in this first decade and we are only at the beginning. The best is yet to come.” Indeed, the iPhone is one of the best smartphone on the market.

Today if Apple release two models of iPhone (with larger and smaller screen) everyone else is doing the same, if Apple release a pink version, everyone else is doing the same, if Apple remove the 3.5 mm headphone port, everyone else is doing the same, and so on. Post from: GizBrain
