Google, Oculus, Sony and Samsung Hold 50% Of The VR Market
On the new market of virtual reality technologies welcome us well-known names. Four companies – Sony, Facebook, Google and Samsung – dominating the business, holding more than 50% share of it.
Currently on the market there are over 30 companies offering more than 40 products, but only four are dominant names. Of these, Sony still has the lead at least for those nearly 50 million PS4 consoles that are currently in use. Following by Facebook (Oculus) and Google (Day Dream, Card Board, Tilt Brush), and both are far behind when it comes to the number of users.
Further follow familiar and unfamiliar names such as gaming company Ubisoft, Crytek and Codemasters, as well as Mechdyne, Dassault Systems and others.
So far, the majority of VR content is related to video games, but is also seen the advent of category VR for work, which includes education, medical, defense and others.
