Mercedes introduces the most powerful E-Class with Drift Mode
Mercedes officially unveiled AMG-version of the new generation E-Class. Germans called the car “the most powerful E-Class ever,” the car has two versions – Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC + and Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC +.
Both varieties have a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine, the difference is plainly in power.
Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC + features a 563 hp and 750 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
S-version has 603 hp and 850 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds.
The presence of 4MATIC + in the model name means that it has replaced its standard rear-wheel drive system 4×4. The top S-version however has a drift mode where all the power of the engine is transmitted only to the rear axle.
The gearbox feature 9-speed automatic AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission. The car has a system off 4 cylinders at lower speeds, thanks to this average fuel consumption is taken down to 8.9 liters per one hundred kilometers.
As for the design, AMG-version of the new generation E-Class has a different grille, large air intakes, different bumpers, small rear spoiler and black side mirrors.
