BMW officially unveiled the seventh generation 5-Series. The design of the new fifth series is evolutionary, as the biggest change is related to the lights which now touch typical for BMW grille.
Although the changes are not too many the sedan looks beautiful and exudes confidence, which is emphasized by the flowing lines and massive 19-inch alloy wheels.
The biggest changes in the new seventh generation of the BMW 5-series are technological.
The coupe is made of alloy composed of steel, aluminum and magnesium, which offers greater strength but at the same time reduces the vehicle weight by 100 kg.
The dimensions also rose slightly, while the sedan has become more spacious and comfortable. The interior offers a choice of many luxury leather upholstery and is also equipped with infotainment system with a 10.25-inch display and the ability to control it with gestures.
The car has a semi-autonomous system, through which can park itself – without the driver to be in the car.
Engine system includes two new units:
– The version 530i has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine with 248 hp and 350 Nm of torque
– The version 540i has a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo engine with 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque
The entire range can be combined with the system of all-wheel drive xDrive, as the standard drive is to the rear axle.
Sales of the new BMW fifth series will start from February 2017.
