Japanese media reported the talks between the Chinese PC giant Lenovo and Fujitsu for the purchase of computer business of the company, which is currently experiencing serious problems in this segment.

At the beginning of the past decade Fujitsu was in the top 5 PC manufacturers worldwide, but today this business is on loss and the company seeks to abandon it completely, once in February 2016 it separated as an independent business.

Fujitsu initially hoped merging PC business with Vaio (former computer division of Sony, from which the company withdrew in 2014) and Toshiba, but the talks failed because none of the three companies did not want to take the controlling share. This led Fujitsu to seek alternative and it can occur in the face of Lenovo.

Chinese promise that will keep all existing plants and will keep all previous employees. If the deal happens, it will strengthen Lenovo as PC number one producer in the world. Post from: GizBrain
