Secretly and quietly Apple has added a new condition affecting moments in which users need to unlock their iPhone and iPad with password, although the active Touch ID, says a new report.

iOS will now ask users to enter their four or six digit password if the device has not been unlocked in this way for six days or if Touch ID is not used in the last 8 hours.

A spokesman for Apple said before MacWorld, that rule has existed since the release on iOS 9 in September 2015, but according iOS Security Guide, the change is effective from 12th. Apple has refused further comment.

The company has already implemented similar rules. In most cases, ask for the iPhone Passcode, if the device is restarted, which sometimes irritates consumers, but adds another layer of security.

According to the familiar sources Apple emphasizes more on verification by password, because recently, in an unprecedented decision by the US District Court, a woman was forced to unlock her phone using Touch ID.

At the same time no one can get anyone to enter the password of force because it would violate the rights of people given by the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution, which prohibits people to testify against themselves.

The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution provides, “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”
