India now have more than 1 Billion Mobile Users
Just as expected for some time, India joined China in the field of mobile users exceeding the number of one billion. The total number of mobile subscribers in India reached 1.03 billion in October 2015, based on a declaration by the telecom regulatory agency in the country.
With a total population of 1.25 billion people, India is the second most densely populated country in the world after China, so it is no great surprise to learn that it follow its neighbor in this important segment.
India has about 12 mobile operators who are struggling for dominance, the largest of which (Bharti Airtel) has over 200 million users. In this line of thinking, we dno’t wonder why Facebook, Google, Microsoft and other technology giants are increasingly talking about India and Indian market – this is a huge market that is yet to develop and evolve, and the number of users is the main incentive for companies to focus their efforts there.
