Singapore-first-driverless-vehicle

In Singapore began the last part of the testing of unmanned vehicles, which are expected to debut early 2016. The cars on autopilot are tested in one of the research centers as well as in popular tourist location “Gardens By The Bay”.

After several weeks, these cars will appear and at the resort island of Sentosa, where in March or April next year should become the main transportation. It is expected that in the first phase of the “smart” cars will go around the island just like shuttles – from a specific point to another.

Moreover, the traffic will be at the coastal road, where normally there is no other type of transportation. After another 3-4 months, cars with autopilot will appear again for tests on ordinary roads, together with “traditional” cars.

General concept of unmanned vehicles is they to be included in the public transport, as well as their use for freight.
