Australian company EVX develop electric sports car that uses energy from solar panels. The car is called Immortus.

The car was developed jointly by the University of Technology in Melbourne Siunbarn team of pilots competing with cars and solar panels EVX.

Australians have been inspired by post-apocalyptic movies where the resources are exhausted, the sun bakes inexorably over deserts that have become cities.

From EVX proudly stated that “while the sun shines, Immortus will live.”

However Immortus not rely solely on energy gathered by the solar panels, and a new set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 10 kWh.

Australian innovative car will be powered by two electric motors located on the rear axle with the total capacity of only 54 hp.

Immortus will have a maximum speed of 150 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km in less than 7 seconds.

Australians promise that at a speed of 60 km/h the car they will have almost unlimited range – if there is enough sunlight, it can go on indefinitely.

At a speed of 85 km/h, however the maximum mileage of the car will be more than 550 kilometers.

The innovative car will be presented at the exhibition SEMA in Las Vegas in November, and from EVX claim that every car will be assembled only after the customer order, the expected price is around $370,000 dollars.
