New Californian manufacturer of electric cars – Faraday Future
Faraday Future is a new American company with the ambition to become a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles. Faraday Future “modest” claim for themselves, they are “ready to lead the entire automotive industry into the future,” and for this purpose the company has already hired “hundreds of the best among the best technology talent, previously worked for the current most innovative companies.”
The first car brand will debut in 2017 and will be “100% electric, zero-emission, fully connected with the high levels of personalization.”
The model will have a battery with a capacity of 98 kWh – 15% more than Tesla Model S, but the maximum range of the electric vehicle has not yet been disclosed.
Faraday Future team includes some well known names.
Chief engineer future electric Nick Sampson worked on before in Tesla Model S and the chassis. The chief designer Richard Kim, who created the concept of BMW i3 and i8.
Department batteries will head Porter Harris – specialist, previously worked at SpaceX. For engines of Faraday Future will meet Silva Chitin, which has developed a drive Chevrolet Volt.
MotorTrend magazine claims that the design of the interior and exterior will be involved former employees of Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW and Land Rover.
Faraday Future headquarters is located in the former technology center Nissan’s in California, and the company now has 200 employees, and in 2016 they will increase to 300.
