Even before Apple to launch its music streaming service, was announced that it will be investigated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) of the United States. Now Reuters reports that the FTC plans to investigate Apple Music, to make sure that it does not violate antitrust law.

In addition, the Federal Trade Commission is investigating the numerous restrictions on App Store, which include a ban on companies to mention that their applications are available on other platforms and directing customers to their sites to purchase goods and services. This is the reason why Spotify recently urged users to “stop paying their subscription in App Store”, instead of paying $3 more in iTunes.

To be clear, this is not yet a formal investigation, the FTC just consider the possibilities. Soon they will schedule meetings with stakeholders.
