Adidas-shoes

Pollution of the world’s oceans is extremely disturbing problem and according to official data the UNESCO back in 2006. there were about 46 thousand plastic objects that sailing in each square mile. In turn these wastes are the cause of death of over one million birds and about 100 thousand marine mammals each year. German sportswear maker Adidas now partnered with the organization Parley of the Oceans in an interesting project that draw our attention to this issue.

The company has developed a prototype shoe that is created entirely from recycled waste from the ocean and illegal deep sea gillnets. They are used by poachers around the world, from Parley of The Oceans spend over 110 days in the tracking of such facilities, and finally found in such close proximity to the coast of West Africa. Another interesting initiative from Adidas, they will officially renounce the use of plastic bags in its retail stores worldwide.

Their joint prototype still has no name, as the shoe may undergo major changes in its design before it officially debuted on the market. Adidas and Parley of the Oceans also partnered in many additional projects that lead to the creation of a new series of environmentally friendly clothing. It will be interesting to track how it will continue to develop cooperation between them in coming months.
