LTE speeds in the next iPhone could be much faster. Apple plans to embed new Qualcomm LTE modem in the next iPhone, which will provide theoretical speeds twice as fast (up to 300 Mbps), than currently available in the iPhone 6 (up to 150 Mbps). But while the modem can provide these speeds, it will still depend on support from operators – unfortunately in most parts of the world still do not support such high speeds. Operators supporting LTE Advanced, generally spreads slowly.

LTE Advanced is now available in some places, including South Korea. US telecom, AT&T also began to support LTE Advanced in some major US cities (like New York and San Francisco).

In practice, LTE Advanced speeds probably will not have as high as inflect theoretical possibility of new chips that support them. However LTE service will be faster to some extent, so that the installation of a new chip in the next iPhone sense. Other smartphones, including some Galaxy devices that now include Qualcomm chips or maintain higher speeds.

There are other possible advantages to solve Apple to move to this new LTE modem. This new chip should be more effective than the demand side, and this will lead to better battery life on the next iPhone. Also there is suggestion that Apple could make the whole motherboard of the phone more thin, so to make more space to embed larger battery.
