New supercar on the horizon Lotus Super Elise
One of the top designers of Jaguar – Julian Thomson, has its own project to create a very beautiful supercar. Julian Thomson is the creator of the impressive concept Jaguar C-X75, which unfortunately never came, although the car was chosen for the villain in the new James Bond film – “Spectrum”. This project is called Thomson Lotus Super Elise, but as we can see the design of both cars share some common characteristics. In 1996, Thompson worked for Lotus and is responsible for creating the first generation of Elise. Now, however, the designer acknowledges that the final result was not the way we imagined.
Inspired by the Singer 911, Julian Thompson will try to realize his dream and to show how imagined Lotus Elise. Lotus Super Elise will be 30 mm lower with between 75 and 100 mm wider, and its design will definitely be more stylish and aggressive. Thomson described his idea for Elise as a “more robust and purposeful.” It is assumed that the supercar will have mid-mounted VTEC engine of Honda, rear-wheel drive and a sequential gearbox. According to Lotus Talk of stylish Lotus Super Elise will be produced about 20 cars.
