The manufacturer of the aircraft and defense systems, Boeing has received a patent for a system that recharges drones in the air. The patent inventors James Childress and John Viniotis describes the system as Drones equipped with cables, which can be associated with land-based stations, while in the air to recharge them batteries.

Currently managing drones for long periods of time is difficult, so this invention solves one of the main problems with the use of robotic flying machines in real life. Drones could be recharged from stations installed on buildings, ships or even air balloons.

Technology can allow electronic retailers and logistics companies to deliver goods using drone without fear that it will run out of energy in flight.
