It is time to put an end to rumors about LG G4. Korean company officially announced the successor the G3 in New York and most of the news that we published last month, proved to be true.

G4 features a 5.5-inch Quad HD Quantum dot display. The company prides itself on being the first to use the technology in a smartphone. The casing is slightly curved (less than with G Flex2), and back comes in several versions, more advanced of which are made of ceramic or leather.

The company focuses on the camera. G4 includes 16 Mpx sensor with aperture of f/1.8 and a new generation of optical stabilization, as well as special infrared / RGB sensor that provides even better color rendering. The camera shoots in RAW format, but if you don’t want to do so large photos, you can choose and JPG.

Unlike most Android flagships in 2015, G4 using 6-core Snapdragon 808 chip instead of 8-core Snapdragon 810. The company claims that the difference in performance is minimal, but the battery life is increased significantly. Mentioning the battery pack has a capacity of 3000 mAh and can be changed by users. The internal memory is 32 GB and can be expanded with microSD card. The smartphone comes with an additional 100 GB in Google Drive for two years. The new software LG UX 4.0, is closer to pure Android, and much of duplicate applications are removed.

Sales began in May, and the expected price is similar to that of G3.
