Processors Intel Skylake will be 15% faster than Haswell
We informed you about the new sixth generation processors Intel, which is being developed code-named Skylake. The new platform will inherit powerful Haswell chips of the company, as the massive influx of the first devices with them the market awaits us in the second half of the year. Now there is interesting data revealing more details on the specifications of Skylake processors. Intel prepare the premiere of at least 10 desktop architectures that will ensure about 15% higher performance than Haswell processors. The most powerful representatives of the platform is Core i7-6700K and Core i5-6600K, they will be clocked at 4GHz and 3.5GHz, which with Turbo Boost can increase to 4.2GHz respectively and 3.9GHz. These processors have four cores and 8MB and have 6MB cache, such as energy consumption up to 95W.
Intel also developed four chips, which are named Core i7-6700, Core i5-6600, Core i5-6500 and Core i5-6400, as they operate in 3.4GHz, 3.3GHz 3,2GHz and 2.7GHz, their frequency may be increased up to 4GHz with Turbo Boost. The models feature a power consumption of 65W and also include support for 2133MHz DDR4 RAM modules. In conclusion we note that the Skylake platform will offer four processors Core i7-6700T, Core i5-6600T, Core i5-6500T and Core i5-6400T, they will consume only 35W of energy.
