Google refuses to issue SSL certificates for Chinese registrar
CNNIC (China INternet Network Information Center) no longer has access to SSL CERTIFICATES that Google issued. Recently the company from Mountain View announced on its official blog that can’t continue to work with organizations that do not care enough for the certificates. It is not clear what exactly is the reason for the decision of Google, but it seems it comes to Egyptian man-in-the-middle attack, which happened in March. Following an investigation of Google became clear that certificates used in it were issued to CNNIC.
Currently the main (practically only) Chinese registrar working on improving its relationship with Google based on process Certificate Transparency.
