Jupiter is massive cosmic body, which has a mass of about one thousandth of that of the Sun and the largest planet in the solar system. Now scientists have made an interesting discovery, according to which it had a serious impact on the formation of our galaxy. The main reason for this is that Jupiter because of its large mass and size has caused the disappearance of many smaller planets in the early years of the Milky Way.

In the early years of our galaxy the sun was surrounded by a thick disk of gas and dust, and closer to Jupiter its gravitational field caused a number of clashes with other cosmic bodies. Processes that led to the dismantling pieces of much smaller planets and debris of them were attracted by the sun. Next Generation inner planets were formed namely from the debris that are left by their predecessors.

These data, according to scientists give a reasonable explanation why the Earth, Mercury, Venus and Mars are much younger than the other planets in our galaxy, and therefore have smaller and thinner atmospheres. Their data revealed that only the appearance of Saturn has put an end to this influence of Jupiter, allowing to form other cosmic bodies in the Milky Way. The discovery of the scientists is a strong testimony to the enormous impact of the largest planet of the creation of our galaxy in the form we know it today.
