The “Find my friends” which Apple currently offers in the future may become the “Track My Friends”.
Cupertino company has received from the Office of Patents and Trademarks US approval for a patent entitled “Sharing location information between devices”.

The document describes a process that allows for a visual representation of the movement of a person using a mobile device.

For example – someone goes on a trip to the mountains and wants us to be aware of its location. This person will trigger function on his mobile device, which allows tracking in real time through a mobile device or computer.

Apple now offers a feature Find My Friends, but it leads us to a point where now there is a person by his or her iPhone or iPad. The new feature allows tracking of movement.

The patent provides more devices to share maps and directions, which will help to quickly find and meet friends. Moreover – has a function in which a screen can see what the other person sees.

The system relies on GPS for navigation, but communication between the devices could be done through a mobile network, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Technology like this always causes issues with confidentiality, but Apple notes that the use of the function requires the consent of the trails, so we will not be able to track people without their permission.
