Tim Cook: Apple isn’t the new Microsoft
In recent months, more and more often confronted with comparisons between Apple and Microsoft, as in most cases they are based on the apparent lack of innovative products in the portfolio of Apple. Tim Cook replied to these comments personally and categorically stated that there is no room for comparison. According to him, Apple still is not afraid to walk away from the familiar and eliminate older technologies that are used less and less, such as disk drives. He believes that the current business model of Apple – full control over the creation of software and hardware, has been successful and will continue to work well for the company. Cook formulate his vision of the problems of Microsoft – he said the company “refused to walk away” from the old standards and paradigms, which is the main reason for its slow progress.
Cook and share their views on Apple Watch. He believes that although the device is not a pioneer in its class, it will be the first smart watch that “really matters” and will be able to convince consumers of the need for such a wearable device.
