Samsung Galaxy S6 has a metal housing, as there are front and rear glass panels. The phone definitely looks good, but there are several drawbacks – it’s not waterproof, no microSD card slot nor replaceable battery. These changes will seriously disappoint some fans of the previous model Galaxy S. The phone is available in four colors: white, black, gold and green.
Nexus 5 has a simple design, no unnecessary elements in its hull. The sleek body has gathered only the most important – the volume controls on the left, microSIM slot and power button on the right, 3.5 mm jack and a second microphone on top. Below you is a microUSB port + mono speaker and microphone key hidden under two bars. The rear is 8 MP camera and its LED flash.
Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at 576 ppi. Nexus 5 has a slightly smaller screen and lower resolution and pixel density: 4.95 inches display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 445 ppi. Density is pretty good for this size of device, but Samsung’s display is visibly better.
Processor and RAM
The high productivity of Galaxy S6 ensure a powerful 64-bit processor with eight cores and clock speed of 2.1 GHz and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM. On the other hand Nexus 5 has 2 GB of RAM and Snapdragon 800 quad clocked at 2.3 GHz.
Future owners of the Galaxy S6 will be able to choose between several different versions with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB memory. Nexus 5 is available in two variants 16 GB or 32 GB.
The operating system of Galaxy S6 is expected Android 5.0 Lollipop, as it comes with TouchWiz and updated user interface, offering a more intuitive operation. Nexus 5 works with KitKat 4.4, but an update is available to Lollipop.
Galaxy S6 features a 16-megapixel camera with ISOCELL optical image stabilization, LED flash, autofocus tracking moving objects and maintenance of 4K video. Launching the camera application is only 0.7 seconds. In front you will find a 5-megapixel camera, which in turn is capable of shooting Full HD video.
Nexus cameras are less impressive – 8-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front, but will not be disappointed by the pictures that the phone does.
Galaxy S6 has a 2550 mAh battery, this is actually a small battery, but Samsung says that this is offset by more efficient 64-bit processor. The battery of the Nexus is less than 2300 mAh, but of course, and its screen is smaller.
As a conclusion we can say that if you want the latest and greatest Galaxy S6 it is your choice but do not underestimate Nexus 5 which is great phone at much lower price.http://szlifestyle.com/sz/2015/03/20/samsung-galaxy-s6-vs-nexus-5-who-to-choose/https://i2.wp.com/szlifestyle.com/sz/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/sz_galaxyS6-vs-nexus5.jpg?fit=640%2C388https://i2.wp.com/szlifestyle.com/sz/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/sz_galaxyS6-vs-nexus5.jpg?resize=150%2C150TECH NEWSGalaxy,Nexus,Samsung, smartphoneThere is nothing better than to be announced new smartphone offering many exciting features.
