Xiaomi to release smart shoes in partnership with Li Ning
Xiaomi intends to expand its range of smart devices “smart shoe”, whose release is expected later this year. The Chinese company has entered into a partnership with a local manufacturer of sportswear Li Ning.
The company Xiaomi, better known as the maker of smartphones, in fact, engaged in production of various kinds of connected devices such as fitness trackers, headset, camera and action-even air purifiers.
Xiaomi partnership with the sports brand Li Ning indicates expansion the company’s presence in the fast growing market of smart devices for health and sports. Smart shoes will come with a built-in sole chip-based technology from Huami Technology, which owns Xiaomi. Currently, the technology used in the budget fitness tracker Mi Band.
