Microsoft revealed late last year that it plans to change not only the design but also the name of its communications platform Lync. Now from Microsoft Official confirmed that they will hold a special event on 18 March, which will reveal more details about their future plans. It was then expected to see for the first time what it looks like Skype for Business service, which will inherit Lync.

Data were confirmed personally by corporate vice president of Skype Business Services division, Zig Serafin. Microsoft has already started using this brand in some of its other products to attract consumers’ attention to it. It seems that only a few days now will have the opportunity to install the new application Skype for Business.

Upcoming service will offer similar functionality as Skype and will include interactive elements such as buttons for starting and terminating the call, add video to the conversation and others. Microsoft will largely try to combine in a single product the biggest benefits of Lync and Skype. You’ll need to arm ourselves with a little more patience to understand what other improvements we expect in the new service of the company.
