Twitter can acquire application for live video streaming
According to some sources, Twitter is negotiating to purchase the app for live broadcast video (live streaming) Periscope. The talks are at an early stage, but one source states that the eventual price of the transaction is approximately $100 million. Another source said that the price is much lower. Feature live broadcast video on Twitter certainly is good news because it will give new strength to the social network. Twitter currently allows for the recording and publication of the 30-second clips, but Periscope will provide new opportunities for consumers who will be able to broadcast and watch live video. Such acquisition is welcome for Twitter, because one of the virtues of this social network is instant sharing of information, and what better than to share video in real time. Imagine that you want to share with your friends Twitter an event and without making them install other applications, to fight with compatibility and a bunch of other inconveniences. Today is the right time for such services because mobile 3G and 4G networks provide excellent speed for upload and download content. Today, Twitter is used for coverage of events and conflicts such as the Arab Spring and the situation in Ukraine, and video transmission in real time would be a boon to activists, journalists and documentary.
