Alcatel believes that one of the most confusing experiences in working with smartphone is when you take it out of the pocket. A company representative says that at least 50% of the grippers are on the wrong way and we have to do specific movements to rotate it with one hand. The new One Touch Idol 3 solves this problem by making the smartphone symmetrical.

4.7 and 5.5-inch versions may be used in both orientation, thanks to the combination of the two microphones and two speakers above and below the display. Of course, it can also be used for stereo sound when watching movies and listening to music in landscape mode.

Both smartphones come with Android Lollipop 5.0.2, heavily modified by team of Alcatel. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip, 1080p IPS display and 13MP camera with LED flash, 8MP front camera and 2910 mAh battery. The internal memory is 16 GB, expandable through microSD card slot.

4.7-inch variation includes 720p IPS display, 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon chip 410, 5MP front camera and 2000 mAh battery. Sales starts very soon and the prices are about $250 and $200.
