Why consumers may not like Apple Watch
Expected Apple Watch aims to take care of our health and good shape, but whether this will be sufficient motivation for people to buy it. Apple Watch has already made its first appearance on the cover of Self magazine in the US, with an emphasis on the benefits of it.
The model, which advertises the new jewel of Apple’s Candice Swanepoel from Victoria Secret, which further emphasizes the expectations that consumers who want to be young and beautiful will have to hurry to buy the gadget.
Given that so far there was almost no ‘movement’ by the marketing department of the company, this debut is expected to mark the beginning of increased activity on the part of Apple’s advertising.
This naturally raises the question of whether the purchase worthwhile. We believe that consumers may not be impressed by the watch, so let’s see the arguments of analysts why people might not want to buy Apple Watch.
1. The market for smart watches with uncertain future
So far we do not know how smart watches all will appeal to consumers, if given the higher prices of gadgets of Apple, this may adversely affect the sales of Apple Watch. However, the expected price of $349 can come in more people only against the ‘promise’ that will be healthy and happy as a model for a magazine cover. And if it is below the above acceptable advertising campaign for the US, there are many countries in which it may not be sufficient.
2. The technical parameters will not impress the jaded by technology users
It is not clear what the overall performance of the device can impress fans of mobile devices in the last year started looking smartphones with larger displays, more cameras and more processing power. Against this background, the focus on ‘fitness benefits’ of the gadget does not look very impressive, provided that there are applications for smartphones, which themselves are large enough competitors to everything Apple Watch has to offer.
3. Do not know how Apple Watch will attract users who are less literate
Any new device today risk becoming totally misunderstood by consumers who are less tech-savvy and have no idea what exactly is the benefit of a smart watch. Most natural comment will probably be that ‘money is much for a digital watch’. And although it may seem naive engineers if no special advertising aimed at similar target group, Apple Watch will remain a pretty good in glossy magazines.
4. In much of the world the Apple iPhone is a hit product that focuses all the attention of the general public
It is noteworthy that in many countries outside the US demand for the Apple iPhone is becoming larger, but according to a recent study, this does not mean that this interest will supply and demand for Apple Watch, as very few of the people who like the iPhone are requested to buy and Apple Watch. Of course, after the official birth of Apple Watch the shops this may change, but for now, as if it is something which can not be guaranteed.
