Samsung recently announced results for its last fiscal quarter. Taken out of context, they look more impressive, but put the results of the first quarter of last year, are rather disappointing. Samsung has generated 48.6 billion dollars in revenue and 4.87 billion dollars profit – 36% and 11% declines on an annual basis.

Eyes are focused on the mobile unit (64% decline), which continues to perform well, but pressed by competition from Chinese manufacturers and has better performance of Apple globally. We recall that Xiaomi overtake Samsung in China. Samsung focuses increasingly on its chip division.
