CES 2015 Intel presented its fifth generation processor code-named Broadwell
Better graphics and much better battery life. This will give the new fifth-generation processor Intel, code-named Broadwell. The newest product of the largest chipmaker in the world is made with 14nm technology. If power consumption is reduced, the productivity continues to grow! CPU of new generation promises significant improvements in battery life, between 20 and 30 percent compared with the current Haswell chips. The new 15W Broadwell processor will give you average 90 minutes longer battery life than its predecessor, in the mode of video playback.
The first family Broadwell were announced last year under the brand name Core M, but Kirk Skaugen from Intel described them as “designed specifically to deal with the category of 2-in-1 device that is those which are neither tablets nor laptops, and unique combination of both. ”
Today, Intel added 14 new processors in its Core i3, i5 and i7 names, while expanding its Pentium and Celeron variations, with new models. This is the first time in company history when it updated every segment of your user CPU-th.
So what can we expect from the new chips Intel?
All the usual improvements there. The size of the matrix is diminished by 37%, but now it holds 35% more transistors (total 1.3 billion.). According to Intel, 3D graphics has improved by nearly 22 percent, while productivity in traditional power video encoding has risen by 50 per cent. With the option for WiDi (Wireless Display) for wireless streaming, Intel can now stream 4K video.
In the coming days we expect new laptops with Broadwell chips. The focus still remains firmly over energy efficiency and ensuring maximum mobility. This is not the next big thing for desktop gamers, but Intel still sees a lot of potential to upgrade, citing market of over 600 million computers that have not been upgraded in the last four years or more.
Intel’s hardware partners are ready to finally present its new generation of computers. Expect surprises in the next few days.
