At CES 2015 HTC introduced its new smartphone Desire line, aimed primarily at emerging markets. HTC Desire 826 also has BoomSound speakers, but now they have improved quality of Dolby Audio. While it is positioned as the successor of Desire 820 (which, incidentally, we saw only four months ago), the new model is almost a replica of Self smartphone Desire Eye. But the surprise here comes from the anterior chamber, which is not a 13-megapixel camera and famous UltraPixel of HTC. This means that we will get more vivid selfies even in low light conditions.

Other features include an 5.5-inch 1080p screen, 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 615 chipset (1.7GHz and 4 x 4 x 1 GHz), 2 GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot and battery 2600mAch.

Desire 826 works with two nano-SIM cards and both slots support LTE networks. On the back you will find a 13-megapixel F / 2.0 camera with single LED flash. The new Desire smartphone will be available in markets around the world at the end of this month and is the first line of Desire, which comes with Android Lollipop. HTC will release a special Dot View case for this model.

Chief financial officer of HTC Chia-Lin Chang said that from now on Desire series 8 will receive two new models every year. Regarding the upcoming HTC One M9 codenamed Hima, we hope to get the same UltraPixel front camera and improvements in BoomSound speakers.
