San Francisco-based design studio Astro presented its new line of classic watches. The collection is a response to the growing popularity of smart watches and fitness tracker, but its creators are adamant that do not compete directly with these classes of devices. Designers who are responsible for the creation of Nike FuelBand, believe that there is still great demand for classic as functionality and appearance watches.

The collection, named Minus-8 (which is a play on words with the time zone that falls San Francisco), consists of four clock rates between 198 dollars and 598 dollars. Every model is available in different color combinations, but the overall design direction aesthetics of classic watches. Brett Lavleydi, founder and CEO of Astro, is convinced that the new product of the company is still a great demand and says that she wants to follow technological trends or to copy other companies.
