AMD plans to have increasingly strong presence in the market of mobile devices next year. The company is already developing a new System-On-Chip (SoC) processor codenamed Carrizo, who will shape the future generation of tablets, laptops and computers of the “all in one”. The architecture is designed as a successor to the Kaveri APU chips, which premiered on the market a few months ago, gave SlashGear.

AMD Carizzo will be based on Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) 1.0 technology, which allows the processor and graphics chip to combine their efforts to carry the heavier tasks. Low power consumption will be one of the advantages of the upcoming architecture and is manufactured with 28 nanometer technology. The new SoC processor company will be based on ARM TrustZone and AMD Secure Processor and will be available in the budget version, which will be called Carizzo-L.

The company conducts intensive testing platform and hopes its first devices on the market to occur in the first half of 2015. The fast speed of the AMD Carizzo will be ensured by an advanced version of Radeon graphics chips. We do not have anything else but to arm ourselves with patience to follow what will be the first device that will take advantage of the new architecture of the company.
