Display with Full HD resolution became a mandatory component of the new smartphones and tablets of the leading manufacturers in 2014. One innovation that awaits us in the future is the advent of more and more devices that support 4K resolution. Japanese company Sharp is now able to create a unique display with a diagonal of 4.1 inches, which is based on the innovative IGZO technology.

The first key feature of this panel is that it supports a resolution of 2560h1600 pixels, and the second that the pixel density reaches impressive 736ppi. From this in turn is twice higher value of retina display on iPhone 4, which in itself shows how impressive picture will ensure this display. The company uses a special technology that allows to reduce the size of the pixels themselves, and so more of them can be placed in less space.

Sharp has informed us that it will start mass production of 4K displays for smartphones in 2016 and will allow other manufacturers to test their capacity next year. The Japanese company has confirmed that the new 4.1-inch display will provide a bright and saturated image as a standard 6-inch panel with a resolution of 3840h2160 pixels for innovative production technology used in its creation. We can only hope that Sharp will be able to quickly start production and see the first devices with these displays on the market.
