We expect Apple to publish the final version of OS X Yosemite in the App Store in October. The biggest update to the desktop platform the company is almost ready – the latest beta versions work well and have almost no serious bugs. According to the last information the release of OS X Yosemite will be accompanied by the announcement of new models of iMac with Retina displays.

Yosemite is designed for high-resolution screens. This is evident by the thinner fonts, and sharper graphics and especially of high resolution pledged throughout the system files. Some of them will have a Retina iMac display with resolution of 6400 x 4600, 5760 x 3240 or 4096 x 2304. Main is quite possible to see two resolutions – one for the 27-inch model and the other a 21.5-inch.

The only Mac-s with Retina displays are now 15 and 13-inch MacBook Pro. Transition in iOS is complete (no longer current not-Retina iPhone-and iPad-and s), but OS X is still used primarily to display standard definition. We expect Apple to present and Thunderbolt display with a resolution equivalent to that of the Retina iMac-a, but it is uncertain whether this will happen by the end of the year.
