Steve Ballmer, who for 14 years ran the software giant is no longer part of Microsoft. The first step was taken in February when Ballmer release position of CEO, and his successor was appointed Satya Nadella. After this huge change that ended a long period in the history of Microsoft, Ballmer shifted from the spotlight. His only more serious manifestation was the purchase of the basketball team the Los Angeles Clippers.

Ballmer is split with the company by letter says his future projects, which include the management of the basketball team, would prevent his duties on the board of directors, “it is best for me to go,” and adds: “Microsoft is in my blood for 34 years and always will be. ”

Nadella answered with understanding and support “your insight and leadership will be missing on the board.” Ballmer parting with the company can lead to positive results, as the new CEO has a serious desire to make changes in the policy of Microsoft. In his farewell letter Ballmer alluded to these changes, adding that the software giant “will have to be brave and take ventures to succeed.” Leaving Ballmer does not mean that he will be released from its shares, leaving the largest shareholder of Microsoft.
